Committee Information

Our lodge participates in a wide range of committees that support our mission of service, fellowship, and community involvement. This page highlights many of the committees our members take part in, but it may not reflect every committee currently active within the lodge. If you’re interested in learning more or exploring additional opportunities to get involved, we’re always happy to share further information.


Scholarship This committee helps to get the word out of our local, state, and national scholarships to the area high schools. They also help judge applications as they are received for both local and national scholarships. This group also plan fundraisers to help fund the scholarships awarded.
AmericanismThis committee helps promote American Patriotism. Things such as Flag Day, National Patriotism Week, Americanism Essay Contest (For 5th-8th grade students), Law and Order Night, Flag Retirement programs.
Drug AwarenessThis committee plan events to bring the drug issues of our youth to public attention. Events to help educate the children and youth of the dangers of drug use. Those members do such things as attend community events for children and youth and hand out SWAG or educational pamphlets, attend parades, promote Red Ribbon week, participate in community Drug Take Back Programs, promote the Video Contest for our youth.
VeteransThis committee plan things for our veterans within our community. Host events that focus helping veterans with employment, homelessness and housing, health and independent living and educational needs. Events could be cooking for the homeless veterans, host a veterans recognition program, helping a veteran with repairs to their home or collecting for the local food pantries used by veterans.
RitualThis committee plan and run the required rituals that are held throughout the year. Rituals like Flag Day or Elks Memorial program that are required. The events are very important to the history of our Order.
ActivitiesThis committee plan activities to help raise funds for our Lodge or just keep up morale with our members. This committee also oversees other committees such as Youth Activities, Hoop Shoot or Soccer Shoot.
Membership and Public RelationsThis committee helps to promote the Elks within our community. It also helps to find ways to bring in new members. This committee also helps to take pictures of our events and write articles to send in to the newspaper or the National Elks magazine.
