Today we delivered $500.00 in canned food to Cottageville Elementary school, for their Blessing Box. Thanks to the Bingo committee and all of the Bingo participants for supporting Walterboro Elks Lodge 1988 charitable efforts. Also, thanks to our outgoing treasure Mary Jo Fox for bringing the check, Angus for providing the truck, Christine and Ernest for helping load and unload. Next week we will be delivering the same to Bell's Elementary. To our community, please come out to Bingo on Tuesday nights and help in supporting our efforts.

Today, Walterboro Elks Lodge #1988 Bingo delivered $500 worth of canned goods for Bells Elementary’s Blessing Box. We are so thankful to our volunteers & Bingo Players that make this possible!



Monday night, I had the honor of being installed as the Exalted Ruler of Walterboro Lodge #1988. I am surrounded by my wonderful sisters, fantabulous friends, & awesome Elks. I am humbled by the love ❤️ & support!!

On the 15th of February 2026, we had 3 Kids from Walterboro that represented the Walterboro Elks Lodge in Charleston at the District Hoop Shoot. Girls 10 11-year-old Cameron Kinard took First Place Girls 12 13-year-old Jordyn Hersey took First Place Boys 8 9-year-old Ivan Withrow finished 2nd They had a great time competing with the other kids in the district. Cameron and Jordyn will advance to the State Hoop Shoot in Orangeburg on the 1st of March 2026 I want to thank the members that went to Charleston to support our Lodge. The Colleton County Girls Tennis Team presented a commentative plaque to Walterboro Elks Lodge #1988 and Walterboro Elks Lodge Bingo for their donation of $600 to the Colleton County High School Girls’ Tennis Team during their 2025 season. Coach Kendrae Hiers presented the plaque to Exalted Ruler Rhonda McDonald on Friday, January 9th to show his their appreciation. Hiers thanked everyone in attendance for support of the team. Funds were used to help furnish needed supplies and equipment to the team members. Tennis Team honors the Elks Lodge.

Walterboro Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot On Saturday Jan 10th,2026, the Walterboro Elks Lodge # 1988 held their Annual Hoop Shoot Free-throw Completion at the Colleton County Rec Center. The numbers were down this year. The kids that came out had a great time competing in the 2025-2026 Hoop Shoot. The first-place winners were: Boys 8-9 division: Ivan Withrow Boys 10-11division: Levi King Girls 10-11 division: Cameron Kinard, (highest score overall) Girls 12-13 division: Jordyn Hersey Winners will compete again in Charleston for the District Hoop Shoot on the 15th of February 2026 at the Charleston Elks Lodge. A special thanks to our members of the Lodge who volunteered their time for this event. I want to thank on behalf of the Walterboro Elks Lodge 1988, Angus, Jerrie, Art, Valerie, Terry and Chris for their help at the Colleton County Sheriffs trunk or treat on Halloween evening. Our nationally known Elroy was a big hit as always. We passed out Drug Awareness literature, Hoop Shoot information as well as a lot of candy. Great job everyone!!!🎯👍



I want to thank Angus Patterson for setting up the Drug Awareness trailer at Forest Hills Elementary School for their Halloween party. Also special thanks to Jill Bell for helping to hand out coloring books and chips. Angus even had our nationally known mascot, Elroy show up for the children.

Thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers for coming out today to support our community trunk or treat. Special thank you to Elroy for spending the day with us in the heat. Each of you are greatly appreciated. Event had a great community turn out.
